I have chosen to look at the British film This Is England, although the poster is quite busy it is very effective. The poster gives the audience many clues of what the film could be about for example the mes en scene that is included is well thought out; the costumes which each character is wearing shows there personality and the era in which it men be set. The male characters are shown in Doctor Martins 1461's, in the 80's to wear these sorts of boots would give the impression you are a racist. Also the Title of the film is bold and stands out to the audience, the colours used are also a big clue of what the film could be about, with little text the main thing that the audience focuses there attention on is the characters. I think this is a very effective poster that works very well with the main storyline.
